The overall foundry operation is monitored and controlled by applying Motorolla's "6 Sigma Process Control Program" which also includes the use of statistical process control.

Complete to Print / Secondary operations

Shellcast Foundries Inc. offers complete to print services for investment casting requirements. These include all secondary operations such as precision machining of castings to tight tolerances, finishing, painting, plating, impregnation, pressure testing, and hardware installation.

Finishing includes chromate conversion (MIL-C-5541), anodize (MIL-A-8625), primer, paint, and plating. Hardware installation includes helicoils or pc guides, rivets, pem nuts, etc.

Shellcast is regularly supplying complete to print "turnkey" items for a number of programs. This has been developed by close working relationships with select MIL qualified machine shops in the U.S., Europe and Canada.

In addition to the above services Shellcast's Engineering team provides casting and machining suggestions or guidelines during the initial design or development stages. This facilitates a viable and economical finished casting design.

Shellcast will work closely with design engineers to maximize advantages obtainable through effective investment casting design.
