SHELLCAST FOUNDRIES INC.

SHELLCAST FOUNDRIES INC. is a fully-integrated, Canadian-owned Company, founded by its President, Mr. Bodo B.Morgenstern, in 1971. It is located in Montreal, Quebec, and is one of the major manufactures of precision aluminum investment castings by the lost wax process. The Company works to MIL-I-45208, ISO-9002 and A.Q.A.P.-4 quality standards, with overall foundry process under Statistical Process Control.

The Foundry also operates its internal machine shop with toolmaking facilities, a non-destructive test laboratory (including spectrograph), an in-house CAD system, as well as computerized coordinate measuring machines.

Shellcast produces high-quality castings in either the shell or solid mold processes, on automated production lines employing robotics. Casting sizes range from less that 1 sq. in. (64.5mm²) plan area, to 36 sq. in. (2322.6mm²).

The Company has pioneered and developed a system to produce RAPID PROTOTYPE castings without hard tooling by utilizing resin models produced from a variety of processes. This prototyping capability allows for castings to be produced in three to four weeks.

The close relationship Shellcast enjoys with its customers has given the Company's team of experts a keen awareness of the needs of the marketplace. This teamwork approach has enabled the Company to maintain its recognized high level of performance within the investment casting industry.
